Hello everyone! SamediVelo is a very popular event every Saturday here in Argenteuil and because, combined with the “VeloRoute d’Argenteuil”, it makes our region a dream destination for cyclists everywhere.
But what exactly is SamediVelo? It is a weekly activity in the region for all the cycling enthusiasts who would like to explore different itineraries in Argenteuil or for those who simply want to discover this popular sport while being well supported.
Where is SamediVelo located? Every Saturday, the riders depart from the elementary school in St-André-d’Argenteuil (1, Legault street) to follow a different itinerary every week in the region of Argenteuil.
But don’t worry this activity is not only for Olympic athletes! Thankfully, three different courses are available depending on your own physical abilities and everyone is monitored by experts to ensure a safe and pleasant ride.
Beginner: 10 to 20 km
Intermediate: 25 to 50 km
Advanced: 50 km and more
Furthermore, this activity is completely free of charge and you don’t have to sign up in advance. The only restrictions are that people under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and everyone must wear a helmet at all time during the ride. You can also visit the SamediVelo website if you have more inquiries on anything from the itineraries to the rules. Their website is frequently updated to give you the best service. You can also communicate with the organisers by phone at 450-537-3527, ext. 2705
